The Village Entrepreneur Initiative is a program all about helping people help themselves achieve a better life by starting up a small business.

Many people in developing countries, especially those that live in rural and remote areas, do not have access to financial services - for savings or access to affordable credit. This makes it difficult or impossible for many people to create or expand small businesses, the backbone of strong and sustainable communities.

Individuals take action - for a small donation every month, Community Investors help Village Entrepreneurs start up and grow their small business. Their funding goes toward providing training and on going support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.

The Village Entrepreneur program doesn't just help individuals, it helps their families and the whole community by providing products and services to the community.
