Community Champion

CUFA volunteer opportunities are a mutual way for CUFA to achieve its operational aims and provide value for those wanting to gain work experience, or make a difference with their skills - being a Community Champion.

Volunteer Programs are conducted both in Australia and in countries where CUFA operates development projects. Community Champions are engaged directly by CUFA, or through programs such as the Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development Program (AYAD) as an Australian Partner Organisation (APO), providing outstanding career development opportunity for young Australians.

Volunteerism is a valuable way to make a difference: whether for learning, professional development or exchange.

Several participants have gained employement in the sector following an internship with CUFA, and teams of credit union professionals have volunteered to conduct specialist development work for CUFA.

Volunteers participate in a supported environment, and operate around aims and objectives to be achieved that are defined before engagement. This way mutual benefit is assured.

Available opportunities are promoted on our website, from where enquiry and application can be made.

CUFA invites people to register and provide some background information about themselves and their skills, access the Volunteer Registration link above. Volunteers registrations are an expression of interest. Should a suitable assignment become available, CUFA will contact registered volunteers to discuss the opportunity.
