Development Education (DE) Program, 3 - 8 November 2008 Benefits from the DE program are numerous and a host of rewards can be gained, from the DE participant, to their credit union, which then flows on to the greater community. Professional, practical educational training program that develops a wide range
of important skills relevant to all credit unions including; negotiation skills,
leadership, teamwork skills, project planning, and managing the credit union
difference. Added Value - Practical, ongoing benefits for credit unions • Post DE program, participants are required to complete a DE project that
directly involves and benefits their credit union. This ensures participants
channel
their newfound knowledge, motivation, and enhanced skill set into a recognisable
product. Their DE education and training translates into tangible results
and outcomes for their credit union. Community Benefit • The focus of DE projects is centred on improving any number of community
development issues including: CSR, the environment, indigenous matters and gender.
There
is no limit to the benefits that the community will directly experience
as a result of the DE Projects. |
