Cambodian Project given a huge boost

United States credit union, Mountain America Credit Union has just given US $75,000 (approx AUD$92,000) to the CUFA/WOCCU Cambodian project. Mountain America Credit Union is a large credit union based in the state of Utah. It has over 250,000 members being serviced through 48 branches. It is the 41st largest credit union in the United States. The money will be used to reach more Cambodian credit unions with training and technical assistance through CUFA’s Training Centre in Phnom Penh.

Short Term Secondment to Tonga

The Credit Union Foundation Australia (CUFA) is looking to assist the Ministry of Commerce, Labour and industries in the Kingdom of Tonga with the financial assistance of the Commonwealth Secretariat to undertake a study to determine the feasibility and viability of a credit union bank.

New CUFA Staff Appointment Builds Extra Strength

The Credit Union Foundation Australia (CUFA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Carla Elbourne to undertake the role of relationship development with CUFA’s various stakeholders. Carla will be working with credit unions, third party providers and other CUFA stakeholders to develop stronger relationships based on the products and projects CUFA currently have.
