   226/2007 Mutual Community Report Sustainability Insights 2007

Credit Union Foundation Australia (CUFA) has developed the Mutual Community Report Sustainability Insights with Abacus Australian Mutuals - to represent aspects of social and environmental performance and activity of the Australian mutual ADI sector - demonstrating the effect the movement has in Australia.

Further to recent bulletins and direct communications, expressions of interest are sought from all Mutual ADI for this important project - nominating an appropriate representative with contact name, email and phone details. Where a contact has been established, please review the project guide and complete reporting by close of business July 20 2007.

Appreciating the busy time of the year and the narrow reporting timeframe of this project, initially only certain elements of the report are sought from all credit unions. Five (5) questions are re-defined as priority - the results of these will enable the Mutual ADI sector’s community support activities to be benchmarked against non-mutual ADI and other financial service sectors.

Further reporting of information is encouraged that will assist with characterisation and description of activities, and only requires awareness of the activities of the organisation rather than research - so can be easily completed.

The final reporting deadline will be extended further to enable submission at a more convenient time - however the value of reporting by July 20 2007 is extremely important to meet Abacus lobbying and marketing exposure opportunities.

We look forward to presenting the initial report to participating Mutual ADI early in August 2007, and to the sector later in the quarter.
