141/2007 CUFA Development Education (DE) Program - October 2007
The next Development Education (DE) program will be held at the Retreat at Wisemans, at Wisemans Ferry in NSW, from 20th - 25th October 2007.
A professional six (6) day training and education program, the DE successfully caters for all credit union staff, management and directors and creates exceptional results in personal development, credit union awareness, greater understanding of the credit union industry, and its relationship and value to the community. Credit unions can expect participants to gain a host of benefits from attending the DE. The specialised program focuses on topical credit union issues pertinent to the credit union industry today. The program ensures that attendees develop a wide range of important skills relevant to all credit unions including; developing negotiation skills, leadership and teamwork skills, and understanding and managing the credit union difference. CEO’s can expect to reap the rewards from sending emerging credit unions leader’s to the DE program. Guaranteed to heighten staff motivation, the DE will maximise attendees’ on-going work performance well after the program is finished. In order to successfully qualify as a DE, all participants will be required to complete a project that directly relates to and benefits their credit union. This allows participants to successfully demonstrate and implement the newfound knowledge and skills they have developed from attending the DE program. Whilst CEO’s can enjoy the added value gained from selecting key staff to participate in the DE program, individuals can also expect to benefit considerably from becoming a DE. Such advantages include increased self-confidence, refined communication and teamwork skills, and presentation and public speaking skills. Attendees will also enjoy excellent ongoing industry networking opportunities. The revitalised DE program is set for success in its exciting new location at Wisemans Ferry. Applications for the October DE program are now being accepted. Application forms can be downloaded from the CUFA website at www.cufa.com.au All enquires regarding the DE program can be made by emailing de@cufa.com.au, or by calling (02) 8299 9031.
